Precare / Contraindications
To ensure you are suitable and to avoid disappointment at your appointment please read all do’s and dont's prior to making a booking. Should anything change in the interim of making your booking and your appointment, please contact hello@bobeauty.co.nz
If you have any previous tattoo from another artist please email to get approval prior to booking.
If you suffer from high or low blood pressure, you have diabetes, have an existing heart condition or any other pre existing medical conditions you must consult with us and your doctor prior to making a booking. A doctors note may be required.
Must not be pregnant (breastfeeding is okay, however you must pump & dump for 48 hours following your appointment).
Must be over 18 years old.
Must not have any allergies to metals or numbing ingredients such as epinephrine and lidocaine.
Avoid Botox or anti wrinkle injections for 2 weeks either side of your eyebrow appointment to ensure muscles have settled well.
Avoid any invasive skin treatments (such as peels, needling, IPL/laser) for 2 weeks on either side of your appointment.
No history of keloid scarring.
If you suffer from eczema or dermatitis, we will be unable to go ahead if you have a flare up.
No steroid creams can be used around the eye/eyebrow area for 3 months prior.
No oral Vitamin A or skin medications (commonly known as roaccutane, isotane, or doxycycline) can be taking during or in the lead up to your eyebrow appointment. A stand down period will depend on how long you have been on your medication for to ensure skin is optimal to work on. Roaccutane and Isotane has a strict 6 month stand down.
Avoid fish oils and evening primrose oil supplements for 2 weeks prior.
No anti inflammatories for 24 hours prior.
Cannot be undergoing chemotherapy or radiation. A doctors note will be required for approval.
If you’re booked in for Lash line, you must not have any history of ocular herpes and must not have any lash extensions on at the appointment.
Avoid lash growth serums for 1 month prior to lash line appointment.
No History of ocular herpes (if treating Lash Line).
